A Wedding Editorial in the Heart of Mérida
Some places don't need to be perfect to feel magical. Hacienda San Antonio Hool in Mérida, Mexico, was exactly that, a corner of the world where nature and time have come to a quiet agreement. Walls with worn, almost pastel colors, softened by years, standing alongside lush greenery. The kind of place you don't build. You discover it.
Confidence Looks Good on Her
From the very first moment, I knew this session was going to be something different.
Fabi arrived with a confidence the camera simply couldn't ignore. Her first dress was everything an elegant bride could want, fluid, delicate, with a subtle transparency that honored her figure without saying too much. The low-waist detail gave every step a movement that felt almost cinematic.
He Didn't Need to Try
Salva arrived looking effortlessly sharp, and with a presence that didn't go unnoticed. Black dress pants, a blazer, and a crisp white shirt buttoned all the way up to his bow tie. A classic look, but with something that made it entirely his own: his curls. Full, fresh, perfectly hydrated, the kind of hair that has a personality of its own. Polished without trying. That was Salva.
And yet, as good as he looked, he only had eyes for her. That's not something you direct or stage. It's something you're lucky enough to catch.
Bolder. More Her.
The second look was where Fabi let her other side show. An asymmetric skirt with an irregular hem and so much personality. Bolder. More her. Same love, different version.
Everything Intentional.
The palette of the session was a beautiful balance between restraint and boldness. Neutral tones as the foundation, with bursts of yellow and burnt orange in the floral arrangements that lit up every frame.
The décor followed that same philosophy, nothing excessive, everything intentional. A long, irregular table, not straight, not rigid, dressed in a warm burnt beige, almost a soft mocha. A few candles placed exactly where they needed to be. And sitting at the center of it all, a white cake topped with grapes that looked almost too beautiful to cut.
That Magic Hour
The afternoon light did the rest. We started with clean, natural brightness, and without anyone asking, the sun slowly turned golden. That magic hour when everything becomes warm, soft, and timeless.
Sessions like this one remind me why we do what we do. Not just to photograph weddings, but to document the way two people look at each other.
Are you planning your wedding? We're here for you. You are not just hiring a photographer. You are stepping into an experience. From the very first message to the last image delivered, we are with you, listening, understanding, caring about every detail as if it were our own day.
We believe your story deserves to be told with honesty, with art, and with soul. We are not chasing the perfect shot. We are chasing the shot that makes you feel something every time you see it. The one that, twenty years from now, you will pull out and remember exactly how the air smelled, how the dress felt, and the way he looked at you.
If something in these images speaks your language, we would love to meet you. Tell us how you imagine your day, where it will be, what you feel when you think about it. Let's start there.
