Savannah & Mathew: An Engagement session in Antigua Guatemala

Some love stories deserve more than one chapter, and that's exactly how we approached Savannah and Mathew's engagement session.
Two looks, two moods, one city full of character. We started things off relaxed and effortless. Savannah wore a crochet-knit headscarf that gave the whole look a unique, free-spirited touch, and it paired beautifully with the golden light of the day.
In this first look, we wandered through Parque Central, letting the everyday rhythm of the city set the tone, and then made our way to the Catedral, where its grand facade added just the right amount of contrast to such an easygoing, playful set of photos.
For the second half of the session, the energy shifted into something a little more elegant. Savannah changed into a stunning white dress, while Mathew matched her in a blue shirt and dark beige pants, a combination that felt effortlessly polished against Antigua's colonial streets. We continued the story at the Arco and La Merced, two of the city's most iconic backdrops, where the architecture and color practically did half the work for us.
Through both looks, one thing stayed exactly the same: the joy between them. Savannah's smile was completely natural, showing up again and again without ever being asked for, while Mathew kept looking at her with a kind of quiet, genuine admiration that came through in almost every frame. You could tell they were having fun the entire time, and that energy is what made this session so easy to capture.
Antigua has a way of making every session feel different, and Savannah and Mathew brought their own warmth and playfulness to every corner we visited.
