Some cities seem as though they were made for love, and Antigua Guatemala is certainly one of them. Its charming cobblestone streets, warm colored colonial facades, and the golden light filtering through its arches make every love story feel even more magical. That was exactly the setting as we joined Adam and Lisbeth for their engagement session, exploring some of the city's most iconic locations together.
We began our walk through the heart of Antigua, strolling leisurely along its picturesque streets. Our first stop was the iconic Santa Catalina Arch, one of the city's most recognizable landmarks and the perfect backdrop for a couple in love.
From there, we made our way to Central Park, where its historic fountain and surrounding arcades invited Adam and Lisbeth to simply enjoy the moment, sharing laughter, embraces, and effortless smiles.
We also stopped at Tanque de la Unión, a location full of local charm, before ending the first part of the session in front of the majestic Antigua Cathedral, whose timeless colonial architecture added an elegant touch to every photograph.
For the second half of the session, we headed to Santa Clara, where the couple changed outfits to create a completely different feel. This look was more formal, minimal, and timeless. Lisbeth wore a simple yet elegant short white dress, complemented by a white bow in her hair that added a romantic and fresh touch. Adam chose a classic black suit with a tie, creating a sophisticated look that contrasted beautifully with the stone walls and graceful arches of Santa Clara.
The atmosphere shifted in this second location. We moved from the lively spontaneity of Antigua's streets to quieter, more intimate moments, using the beautiful architecture and the soft light streaming through the historic ruins to create timeless portraits.
One of our favorite moments of the day came near the end of the session, when Adam and Lisbeth shared a champagne toast to celebrate this new chapter together. It was genuine, joyful, and filled with those sweet pre wedding nerves, the kind of moment we always hope to capture. No forced poses, just two people celebrating their love exactly as they are. We also had the opportunity to capture a photograph with their family, a beautiful reminder that an engagement is not only the union of two people, but also the coming together of the loved ones who support and celebrate them.
Thank you, Adam and Lisbeth, for allowing us to be part of such a special day. May this be only the beginning of the many adventures you'll share together.
